              Bio

              Peter Baker is a policy fellow on the global health policy team at the Center for Global Development and the deputy director of CGD’s international Decision Support Initiative (iDSI). He is a public health specialist doctor, Fellow of the UK's Faculty of Public Health (FFPH), and member of NICE Technical Appraisal Committee A, which advises the NHS on resource allocation decisions. His interest is in the evidence, methods, criteria, and institutions needed for prioritisation of health care. Over the last 10 years he has worked across sub-Saharan Africa and for a range of organisations including Imperial College, MSF, DFID, PRICELESS South Africa, King's Sierra Leone Partnership, Public Health England, and the NHS. His medical degree is from the University of Manchester, and he holds an MSc in Health Policy Planning and Finance from LSE and LSHTM, and a BSc in International Health from University College London.
